01 — Who we are

Some stories are not written with words. They are woven through generations. What started as a family's love for handloom has brought us to our third home.

Zong Hi I is a Meghalaya handloom house working in Eri silk, known as Ryndia. Each shawl, jainsem, scarf and tie is woven by hand and coloured with natural dyes.

Nothing here is machine-perfect, and that is the point. Natural dye variations and handwoven textures are not flaws, but signatures of true handmade artistry.

Dye

Colour comes from leaves, bark, flowers and roots. Each batch is different, shaped by the season and the plant it came from.

Warp

Threads are stretched out by hand, colour by colour, before they ever reach the loom.

Weave

Every jainsem is woven on the loom and finished with its own border. Slight variations are part of each piece.

Eri silk is breathable and open in structure, so it keeps you cool in summer. The same fibres trap warmth close to the body in winter.

03 — The collection

Pick a piece.

Jainsem, Ryndia shawls, scarves, neckties. Tap any piece to open its post. Drag to browse.

Each piece is individually handwoven. Colours may look slightly different from the photos because of light and screen.

04 — The hands

At 86, her hands
still tell the story.

Every thread reflects a lifetime of experience. She is the heart of the craft and the go-to troubleshooter whenever weaving gets difficult, passing her skill on to the next generation.

"Zong Hi I is not just a place, it's the people behind it."

Weavers whose hands move with patience, whose stories are woven into every thread.

05 — Our colours

Gold

Success, wisdom and prestige.

Deep red

Vitality and passion.

Black

Strength, sophistication and timelessness.

Drawn from traditional attire. The Z of the new mark has a flowing tail inspired by the cocoon: patience, transformation, thread into something meaningful.
